As a symbolic protest of the Russian Anti-gay laws, we are proposing that the American flag be temporarily changed for the duration of the Sochi Olympics to replace the red and white stripes with the rainbow stripes of the gay flag. While individual athletes may be arrested for promoting gay propaganda, Russia does have to respect our country by flying our official flag during medal ceremonies, therefore this could be a great opportunity to show that this administration stands up for the rights of LGBT individuals around the world.
