Temporarily halt new lawmaking, focus on revising, updating and where needed removing existing laws.

Created by D.C. on August 31, 2015

There are too many laws on the books. I doubt any one person, even any one attorney, truly understands the system anymore, and that means that for the first time in history, for many, many laws, ignorance is genuinely an excuse.

Worse than that... "Never give a command that you KNOW will not be obeyed." The military knows this, and the government needs to take it to heart. Every new law adds new loopholes, and spreads every law enforcement agency thinner. People get used to violating laws--casually!!--and a disobeyed law is a WEAK law. You're shooting yourself in the foot.

Please, SHUT DOWN all new lawmaking for at least five years, or better yet TEN, in order to revise and especially PRUNE the list of laws in this country to something you have a snowball's chance of actually enforcing!
