In order to ensure we do not increase the potential spread of the Zika virus throughout America. This is an avoidable risk if we temporarily do not allow thousands of American civilians and athletes to participate in the '16 Brazilian Games until we have better methods to control the virus. These Americans would return home possibly infected without the protection of a readily available cure, vaccine, or something to protect them and possibly infect the rest of the population at a increased rate. Our government doesn't currently have the infrastructure to quickly detect or deal with the Zika outbreak. Lets be proactive in reducing the spread in America until we can find a vaccine or cure.
