Temporary Driving License while H1B Extension is in Progress

DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) in many states, issues the driving license valid only till the end of your H1B visa (or I-94). Though you can legally stay in US up to 240 days while the petition is pending, DMV will not renew your license until you get the final approval from USCIS. For past few months, the time taken to process H1B Extension is longer than the normal and some times more than 4 months (Regular processing). For all these days, many people are facing lot of issues because they will not be able drive. Even though there is a process AB 60 which can get you the license, but you have to go through the process of written test, driving test again. This petition is to make the H1B Extension Receipt as a legal document to get a temporary driving license
