The leading cause of poverty in Tennessee is directly caused by the employment at will doctrine. Although, the doctrine violates Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; Judges are enforcing employment at will in their rulings.
Article 23-1 states Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work, and to protection against unemployment. That is not what is happening in our Courts. Judges are using their discretion to ignore the human rights of its residents. Tennessee shall join the other forty states in providing its residents a reasonable expectation of fundamental fairness.
