Congressmen and senators should be limited to two terms in office. A provision for a third term could be allowed for the majority and minority leaders in each house. The career politician that has become the norm in this country is highly ineffective and easily corruptible. Limiting terms for legislative seats will allow for a continuous exchange of new ideas, limit the partisan politics that are destroying this country, and help to ensure that we don't have a bunch of out of touch politicians in their ivory tower completely disconnected from the real issues that are facing the country.
