We must establish congressional term limits for both house and senate. Nothing else can be included in the legislation to write this into law. This reform would have a more favorable impact than almost any other structural change in our federal government. Public service in government should not be a lucrative life-long career.
Senators must be limited to 2 terms, regardless of whether these terms are served consecutively, nonconsecutively, in one or multiple states, no individual can ever serve more than 2 terms as a senator.
House representatives must be limited to 4 terms, regardless of whether these terms are served consecutively, nonconsecutively, in one state or multiple states, no individual can ever serve more than 4 terms as a representative.
