TERM LIMITS FOR CONGRESS: Introduce legislation for term limits for the United States Senate and Congress.

United States Senators and Congressmen should be TERM LIMITED, just as the President is, and most other political offices throughout the Country. It is common for Senators and Congressmen to serve for decades. The longevity of many of these careers has contributed to the stalemate and lack of compromise in Washington as the same battle-lines are drawn year-after-year. We need progress and new ideas. We need new leaders with fresh perspectives. The Senate and Congress should not be a "career". Senators should be limited to two six-year terms and Congressmen to four two-year terms maximum. If they crossover from Senate to Congress, or Congress to Senate, the total amount of time they should be able to serve should be no more than 16 years combined.
