Term limits for the House and Senate

Created by S.B. on December 14, 2012

Congressmen should be limited to term limits just like the President. Limits should not exceed 2-1/2 terms. This would prevent lifetime representatives from dominating the House and Senate and allow the voice of the people to be heard more clearly.

Along with term limits, Congress should not be authorized fringe benefits that exceed the most generous benefits given to any Federal employee. Health care would be given through TRICARE or Federal Employee Health Benefits. Retirement points would be earned through FERS (Federal Employee Retirement System). This would prevent Congressmen from getting retirement that is disproportionate to that earned by those they serve.
