Due to the 22nd Amendment, The President only serves 2 terms for a maximum of 8 years, but members of congress can run an infinite number of times. Members of Congress and the Justice system should be held to a similar standard, to further enhance the system of checks and balances. The Senate has unlimited amount of times they can run, and are elected every 6 years. House members can run an infinite amount of times and are elected every 2 years. The Supreme Court Justice members are elected for life.
This is not a productive system for checks and balances. Congressmen are serving 20+ years, enacting the same laws and voting the same way not allowing for progressive change. The Supreme Court members are in a position of dictatorship, having a lifetime appointment to a position.
