Term Limits for U.S. Congress. H of R: 6 terms; Senate: 2 terms. Hold National referendum to decide.

Created by W.H. on February 27, 2013

In recent years, the US House of Representatives and the Senate have been unable to effectively legislate and are constantly in a "campaign" mode. At the center is this is the assumption that they have a life long job and can decide their own pay!!

The President of the US is given 2 terms. Well, we can give each Congressman and Senator an extra 4 years. So, give each House member 6 terms and each Senator 2 terms. Then they need to "retire" and let someone else do the job.

To accomplish this, we need to hold a National referendum during the next Presidential election. This issue cannot be left for Congress to decide, as it would be a conflict of interest.
