A Constitutional Amendment: Term Limits For The US House of Representatives And Senate. A petition for support from all office holders.
The House would be limited to three 2 year terms. The Senate would be limited to two 6 year terms. CURRENT MEMBERS WOULD BE GRANDFATHERED IN OFFICE AS LONG AS THEY ARE RE-ELECTED. The grandfather clause is unfortunately essential. Otherwise the current members would never vote themselves out of office.
The Presidency and most state a local elected offices have term limits -- so should the US House and Senate. Far too often, members of both bodies are only interested in getting relected and gaining more power and influence for themselves rather than doing what is best for the country.
