Effective January 1, 2013, we petition the President to have all pay and benefits awarded to members of Congress and their staff, the President and his staff, and all cabinet members be terminated until a budget deal is reached that shows a real effort at lowering the deficit. For every dollar in taxes raised, $3 dollars in spending must be cut. This termination of pay is permanent and not retroactively restored.
If the politicians in Washington have no problem with dolling out pain to the people in order to further their agendas, they should have pain as well.
