Terminate Director of National Intelligence James Clapper for blatantly lying to Congress about spying on Americans

Created by D.H. on June 12, 2013

At a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing back in March, U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) asked Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, “Does the NSA collect any type of data on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?”

“No, sir,” Clapper answered.
“It [the NSA] does not,” Wyden said to confirm Clapper’s answer.
“Not wittingly. There are cases where they could inadvertently, perhaps, collect, but not wittingly,” said Clapper.

In response to Clapper’s now obviously false response, President Obama should immediately fire James Clapper and begin a transparent investigation into U.S. Intelligence operations. Congress and the American people have been lied to in a time when what we need more than anything is the truth.
