Terminate our nuclear weapons program.

I have recently heard of and done extencive research on nuclear war. I have to say, I am disgusted. How could we destroy so many innocent lives with our weapons! Not to mention, ourselves! Nuclear wars have no winners. They are simply a really thoughtless, careless way to bring on the end of days. I want to live a long, healthy life. Don't create a man-made apocalypse, or a nuclear winter. There is no good reason to have a nuclear war. In a nuclear war, not only will the countries involved in the war be destroyed, but so will countries not involved, because of the fallout. I am only in the 9th grade,(yes, I am, thank god for thesaurus.com) and I don't want to live in a toxic wasteland as an adult. Please, get rid of this awful threat. Let me grow up to live in a clean, peaceful world.
