Termination of parental rights should be automatic if a parent is physically absent from their chiild's life for 1 year.

The courts do not recognize "Neglect" as a parent being absent in their child's life. I am starting this petition because I think that regardless of the absent parent paying any type of child support, if that parent has not seen their child in a year and proper documentation can be made available to the courts, then that absent parents parental rights should be automatically terminated. The anguish and the hurt is evident in every child that has an absent parent. The absent parents should be held responsible for their own behavior and there is no excuse for not seeing their children. I feel that dead beat parents are given way to many excuses by the courts and it's the children that experience the most devistation. Help every abandoned child's voice be heard!
