The vast majority of police officers are upstanding servants of the law.
However, it has become increasingly obvious that there is a powerful minority of officers whose racial biases cloud their judgement and endanger our civilians. Recently, that dangerous bias has caused several violent outbreaks across the country.
It is the duty of our government to select our officers carefully. Officers should be scanned for and trained against racial biases: it should be a basic element of the psych screening that every officer must pass.
This simple action will make every citizen safer.
