We the people of Texas, need medical and recreational use of marijuana, as in Colorado and California. The argument is that marijuana is not safe. Marijuana is safer than over the counter prescription drugs. It will not cause symptoms much worse than the initial issue as a "side effect". Throughout my life I've never come across an article in the paper, story from the news, or even a simple report from a radio station acknowledging any deaths, critical illness, nor sickness in direct response of marijuana usage. Alcohol, on the other hand, can cause organ damage and may lead up to death. There aren't any medical uses that alcohol can be used for however cannabis can be used for such purposes. We the people, deserve the right to marijuana as any other taxable(local&state) retail product.
