Move Thanksgiving Day to the third Friday in November or make it a four day weekend. Many companies give the extra day off to allow families to travel and spend the holiday together. More and more Americans are using vacation time or leave without pay, so they can travel for or rest up after the holiday. Having a day gap between Thanksgiving and Saturday can potentially cause some people to travel in excess of posted speeds, putting them and others in harms way.
