The Thanksgiving Tax Policy Deadline Bill

Created by G.M. on February 17, 2013

Because of the Fiscal Cliff Debate which was not settled until the very last days of 2012 there has been excessive delays in the IRS being able to supply forms and information to the public and also impacted businesses who provide tax services in the form of books, software programs or in-person service. The American People, who pay their taxes on time or are penalized for it, have not been able to file their returns in a reasonable fashion, delaying financial returns as well as tax information that affects other services such as college financing. It is not an unreasonable request that if the public must pay what they owe on time that Congress should act in a responsible fashion as well. Please submit a bill requiring all laws passed that affect tax policy to be final by Thanksgiving Day.
