People have stated that the Confederate flag shouldn't fly on government buildings but that it's ok to fly it on private property like your house and/or vehicle. But then people steal the Confederate flag from peoples houses and vehicles. So it should be considered a hate crime if someone steals a Confederate flag from a persons house and/or vehicle.
Any vandalism to Confederate monuments such as spray painting or breaking them should also be considered a hate crime.
