The 2% payroll tax was not reinstated. The interest rate on student loans have increased to 6.8%. My health care insurance is higher through my job. I am a 27 year old Respiratory Therapist with a child and my check is getting an increase of witholdings every year. There needs to be a balance, either reinstate the 2% payroll tax or decrease the interest rate on the student loans. This is not fair to increase both. The middle class is drowning trying to carry this country on its sholuders. Meanwhile, the upper class is paying taxes at 17% which is the lowest ever. I am not able to work overtime because the economy and I am needing to take activites away from my daughter. I do believe check and balance is in order.
