Gun control is important yes, but removing me of my protection, no. I firmly believe that instead of any regular village idiot being able to walk into a store and buy a gun, we should treat the sell of a weapon much like getting a concealed weapon permit. Background check, test, and they must also have a valid hunting permit.
Another thing is, all the media talks about is sad news. If they were to report how many people were protected a year by having a weapon, things would be much much different. Fact: 2 million people protected by having a gun with them in 2013 alone already.
