Third world status in America's backyard.

Created by P.M. on January 25, 2014

Much have been done by the federal government and other organizations to improve life on reservations; BUT, still poverty exists perhaps far more than third world nations. Despite billions spent by the feds, unemployment on reservations are over 50%, Health care in many instances are no more than field clinics. Cancer rate is high, people are dying daily from diabetes, hungry exists, economic development is stifled. The backbone of America's economy, the Private sector, is NOT involved due to mountains of laws and regulations. The President should call upon the Private sector; who now contribute billions to third world nations while ignoring the third world conditions in the backyard of the greatest country (America) to help Native Americans succeed in this land of ours. It can be done.
