There are petitions going out to ban all purchases of automatic weapons like AR15 or 30 clip hand guns. I understand the good intentions of these petitions, but they are against the Constitution. It will never become law. I believe that a better petition that is Constitutional and can become law is the following:
Anyone who wants to purchase one of these weapons will have to go through an extremely thorough background check including search of emails, facebook, twitter, texting etc. and all phone records. Friends and family must be interviewed and their information checked also. This process should be done by a special department in the federal government. If there is any indication at all of danger then the purchase must be denied. The person then may have the right to appeal.
