The Veterans Benefits Administration needs to thoroughly evaluate those who claim to be disabled before awarding them disability compensation. Not everyone who claims "disability" is actually disabled. The law states that one who served in the military only needs to be 10% disabled in order to receive VA checks. Although numerous military do in fact suffer from PTSD, it does not mean that they are disabled and unable to hold a steady job. Too many of them take advantage of the system and use the excuse of having chronic PTSD in order to not have to work. The funds should instead be awarded to those who are actively serving whose paycheck is absurdly minimal or homeless veterans.
Stop taking advantage of the system that is intended for good and not self seeking purposes.
