We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Thousands of Foreign Trained PTs (Physical Therapists) affected due to SUDDEN change in rule by USCIS.

Created by N.P. on October 01, 2016

Earlier PTs needed number of credits & content area as per FSBPT for Healthcare Workers Certificate.
SUDDENLY a title requirement as Masters in PT with 202.1 credits with immediate effect & title as Doctorate in PT with 232 credits from January 1, 2017 was announced by USCIS/FCCPT. Sudden increase in 82 credits & title, completing which takes around 2.5 years, is devastating for many.

Changes are imminent and necessary to strengthen the profession but we find it UNJUST as we were not given prior intimation & time to adapt to the changes. Moreover, very few foreign countries offer DPT program.

So, I would like to urge you to give us TIME-FRAME before the changes could be implemented as thousands of aspiring PTs have invested a lot of time, money & efforts while working in this direction.
