The major US banks have stolen from the people of the US. Their leaders need to be punished as the current fines do not seem to change their behaviour. Any high level managers participating in this criminal behavour should be fined and banned from any banking connections for the rest of their lives.
All these banks should be nationalized, broken up and sold, and the proceeds given to pay down the federal debt. The shareholders should get nothing as they participated and elected leaders in these organizations.
Until someone goes to jail and severe penalties are handed out this behaviour will not stop.
