Through the use of Executive order mandate that NASA's budget cannot be lowered to below 0.5% of the U.S. Federal Budget

NASA is the hope of the future of America. This program is one of the greatest investments that could be made. The discoveries and inventions are sent right back into our economy. NASA may seem like a wasteful investment, but that is because most people do not truly understand what it does for this nation. This is the reason we believe that this would require an executive order because most people believe, wrongly so, that NASA is a waste of the American tax dollars. Also since 0.5% of the Annual U.S. Federal budget is a bare bones budget for NASA, we propose that NASA be allowed to supplement the remaining budget by taking donations from the general public without losing any funding from taxpayer dollars.
