Tidal power plant and desert irrigation project

Created by B.S. on March 26, 2015

The plan involves the construction of a pipeline from the pacific ocean to death valley. The pipeline is filled with water to allow water to flow through it to equalize water level. Death valley is 200-300 feet below sea level, so the water at first would flow to fill the valley. Death valley is incredibly hot and dry, this new body of water would absorb the heat, causing it to evaporate, which would provide moisture and rain to a very arid region of the country. Once the water level is equalized, the rising and falling of tides on the pacific ocean would change the direction of water flow keeping a constant flow of water moving in the pipeline. When water flows out of the increasingly alkaline lake it would "flush" it, then refill it with normal sea water. This flow could generate energy
