They will be more likely to keep minimum wage in check with the cost of living if it also affects their salary. 6 to 8 times minimum wage would probably be good. This would significantly reduce their pay but that can be off set by having them telecommute and vote from their home districts. This will save them money and give them more time with their constituents.
