We the people do not want to wait for congressional action to adjust the federal minimum wage when it no longer falls in line because of the continuously increasing cost of living. Several states have already taken the initiative and passed legislation that increases their minimum wage each year based on the consumer price index with no ill effects on their economy.
We the people ask not only you as president but both democrats and republicans to please step up to the plate and fight for the rights of millions of Americans who struggle to earn a living by providing the needed legislation that will ensure that the burdens of every day life are lessened for them so they will be better able to provide for themselves and their family.
