It seems these days that politicians don't do anything without their own self interests in mind, therefore we should tie a politicians salary to the prosperity of the citizens in the districts they represent. If the median income of the district increases, you get that percentage raise. If your district suffers under your representation you suffer right along with those that you are representing. No more voting for your own raises, this is just power without accountability!
