Tie reductions in consumer gas prices to tax breaks for oil companies making billions in profit. Overcharge = no break.

High gas prices continue to stifle the US economy by driving up costs of almost all goods and services to absorb high gas prices. Why are companies getting tax breaks while making enormous profits with no relief to the average person or small business trying to survive economically? Since it is unlikely that Congress will actually end the unfair tax breaks to oil corps, at least tie them to keeping costs down for consumers. Reasonable gas prices would do a great deal to restore the economic activity of everyday folks and spur small and large business growth. Of course, we need to keep up investments in clean energy alternatives, but in the meantime, please stop the giveaways of taxpayer money to oil corps with no benefit to citizens.
