In the last few years, medicinal standards have grown slack. Remember when the worst side effect you could expect would be a headache or nausea? Now cancer is considered an acceptable side effect. Or organ shutdown. Or permanent, irreversible nerve damage. Dementia. Hallucinations. Suicidal thoughts or tendencies. The list goes on, but the point is that pharmaceutical companies consider the risk of death to outweigh the risk of ugly toenails.
It seems the FDA has not been given the proper tools in order to control the market. Therefore, we petition that the FDA be given the strength to reign in the pharmaceutical market and impose strict tolerances on the drugs sold both over the counter and by prescription, as the current regulations are insufficient to protect the consumer.
