Legislation denying visa-free travel to anyone who's been in Iraq, Syria, and Iran (the most educated and youngest country of the Middle East) in the past five years is set for a vote in the Senate and soon WH, and is likely to pass by a wide bipartisan margin. The bill also makes a series of other changes to the visa waiver program, which allows citizens of 38 countries to travel to the U.S. without a visa for stays of 90 days or less.
This legislation blatantly ignores the fact that the biggest origin of radicalized Islam is Saudi Arabia (home to 15 out of 19 of the September 11 attackers) and Pakistan, the friendly host of Osama bin Laden, and Turkey, the number one buyer of oil from ISIS or Daesh.
