MAKE A STANCE NOW
1) Mandatory community service for a year in the community they are serving. This will promote community policing.
2)Mandatory monthly 1-2hr counceling.
3)1-2 years training. There is no reason why it takes 2 years to become a nurse but 6 months to become a cop.
4)Extensive background checks. It's 2016. With social media in existence there is no reason why we can't know or find out rather the officers have a history of racism.
5)Dept. Issues cell phones. They should not be allowed to carry personal cell phones. The issued phones should be turned in at the end of each shift; phone records should be randomly and periodically examined.
6)A full resourced and rigorous civil rights and criminal investigation by the DOJ on current officers in regards to police brutality
