Public education in the United States has gotten out of control. The rights of parents have been usurped by a tyrannical governments from Penn. Ave to your City Hall. rights that have not - cannot! - be abrogated.
Since virtually all public schools receive some form of federal financial assistance they must abide by various federal rules and regulations.
An independent IG must be established (administered on the state level; not unlike medicaid) to protect the rights of parents and guardians. If a school has violated the rights of students and parents, the administrators must be held to account. As it stands gov. agencies circle the wagons and protect the violators not the victims.
Schools must once again serve the public. Otherwise its is time that they cease to exist.
