Mr. President It is time for you to pressure the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Pacific Maritime Association to end the contract impasse that is crippling West Coast ports and is threatening the nation’s economy.The ILWU has resorted to slowdowns in order to leverage the employers at the bargaining table and it is crippling our business.Normally Cargo is unloaded within a day and pulled out of port within two more. Now we have over 20 containers in demurrage for the dock will not load on to trucks and we have to pay for storage till they decide when they will load. Currently timeline is many weeks and we cannot sustain this!
