Today many of the elected officials are millionaires, therefore, is their pension and insurance guarantee for life really necessary. It is time for pension review and reform for the elected members of Congress and the Senate. Some of the steps could be to look at years served (more than 5); number of bills passed; attendance and those you make over a certain amount or have considerable assets should be exempt from the life long pension and insurance coverage. This reform would greatly help the economy as so many elected officials have requested that state governments and unions review and re-structure their pensions plans.
