There is nothing more annoying than finally getting a green light and burning energy to accelerate, only to waste that energy and erode brake pads a few hundred yards later once you hit a red light on a major thoroughfare. Couldn't city/county engineers work together to integrate and time the stop-lights across major traffic veins? That way once you wait at a stop light, you would have a good amount of smooth sailing ahead.
Benefit 1: There would be no incentive to speed in cities
Benefit 2: Reduction of road rage
Benefit 3: It would greatly reduce energy consumption because accelerating burns the most fuel.
Benefit 4: Better air qualities for those areas where it's implemented.
Everyone wins! Let's make this an ongoing initiative.
