Gun laws as a deterrent have absolutely no effect on the person committing a crime. Look at current laws in Connecticut it is illegal to transport a BB gun with out proper permits but yet the law did not protect one child. Look to the City of Chicago in the State of Illinois where possessing a gun is illegal yet they have gun violence and deaths from illegal gun activity daily. Clearly these laws have not saved anyone. We have laws against Murder but the law itself is useless to the victim. The people who obey the law are not the problem it is the criminal who disregards the law and these people will not be effected by new laws. Make concealed carry a legal right everywhere for the law abiding citizen, Just one armed teacher could have change the outcome in Connecticut.
