For a long time Americans have been frustrated by how much misleading information is out there. This manipulation of facts to fit an agenda is now threatening our ability to be self governing. We the people have a hard time finding out what is true. Other nations do not allow editorializing to be called news. Under the name of freedom of speech we have allowed lies to be acted out on news channels as if they were valid and honest. Any news agency that purposely tells half truths to manipulate peoples emotions must be seen as a threat to the integrity of our democracy. Break up the media monopolies by restoring the FCC rules that existed to protect us from broadcasters gaining too much power. Require news agencies to have ethical standards that they prioritize above ratings.
