Toyota, Scion and Lexus's Oil consumption issues? Toyota says Federal Standards say 1 Liter of oil per 600 miles is ok?

Its crazy when you think how many millions of New Toyotas Scions and Lexus are being sold to unsuspecting customers All of their cars when driven often, will consume vast amounts of oil. The consumer won't know because the oil light never comes on!
It's not right that Toyota Corp States To The Federal Standards it's acceptable for their cars to consume One Liter of Oil per 600 to 1000 driven. (depending on model) They print this in the owners manuals.Toyota advertises how efficient their cars are, But there's nothing efficient about oil consumption! Why are they building cars in this day and age that consumes any oil? More maintenance and costly parts and repairs for them to profit on! How much of this Oil Consumption is going into our environment & air quality? Please Help Stop Stop This
