Whereas citizens from the state of Texas have petitioned to leave the Union; and
Whereas the citizens of Puerto Rico have petitioned to join the union; and
Whereas the state of Texas seems to have become a magnet for people who do not believe in science, math, evolution, global warming, freedom of religion, the separation of church and state, gay rights, minority rights, women's rights, etc.; and
Whereas the majority of the people of Puerto Rico are lovely, hard working people; and
Whereas it would be expensive for everyone to create a new flag with 51 stars;
Therefore be it resolved that the United States of America should grand the petition from Texas to leave the Union, and admit Puerto Rico as a new state.
