Train and provide schools with easy-to-use NON-LETHAL weapons, such as the taser shotgun, or incapicitating flashlight.

There was no lack of courage by the teachers and administrators at Sandy Hook Elementary when they were attached by a mentally disturbed person. They simply had no way to defend themselves or their children. Perhaps if one or more of those teachers/administrators had access to weapons that could incapacitate a person from a distance, without hurting them permanently, more children could have been saved. There are a multitude of reasons to NOT have deadly weapons in school that don't need to be enumerated here. Many of these arguments disappear if we instead consider non-lethal weapons. An incapacitating flashlight (google it) seems very effective and easy-to-use, and could fit in every teacher's desk drawer. A vice principal could keep a taser shotgun (google it) in his/her office.
