There have been too many persons of color killed in recent conflicts, and that is a direct result of lack of police training. WE demand allocation of funding to programs that will train police in their interactions with minorities. From American Psychological Association in 2007: "Police officers trained in 'shoot, don't shoot' scenarios can overcome inherent racial biases and avoid the unnecessary use of deadly force, a study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (Vol. 92, No. 6) reveals." There is proof that these programs can help prevent the current epidemic of unarmed black youth killed by police, and accordingly preventing the ensuing riots. These shootings and the consequent riots are destroying America. WE need action now!
