A Training and certification program for owning/using high powered weapons.

Created by M.J. on January 22, 2013

Article 2 of the constitution ensures the right of Americans to own and bear firearms. While we believe it is the right of every American to own firearms, much like a driver's license - Americans should be certified using the same training methods used by our armed forces in the use, care, and maintenance of their weapons. Periodic recertification (a similar, but lesser test) would also be necessary. We also suggest the certification be progressive: Rifle/Shotgun, Small arms, High-calibre arms, and assault style weapons having progressively more training, certification, and range time similar to DD-214 listings, or even the BSA rifle/shotgun merit badge training.

By demystifying weaponry, and providing training, fear is removed and clear thinking can prevail.
