We the People, appeal to the US Congress, to not allow the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to come up for a vote and to remove ourselves from the Partnership.
The United States is currently negotiating an expansive free trade agreement, the TPP, with 11 Pacific Rim nations. It is about to go to Congress for a 90 day debate.
There has been an extreme lack of transparency in the TPP negotiations. Because it allows such free trade of resources such as gas and oil, it will ramp up fracking and oil drilling causing an increase in toxic air emissions and cause increased water pollution.
It will allow corporations to sue a country.
It will cause thousands of American jobs to leave this country and go elsewhere where labor is cheaper.
