The law for Virginia is transgender students can play on their preferred sports team but they have to have sex reassignment surgery and hormone therapy. I am a transgender teenager and I would be lucky to even be able to start hormone therapy before I was 18. This law makes it almost impossible for me and people like me to play on the sports team we feel most comfortable on.
